i miss vash’s alcoholism

everytime i saw it i’ve had to reread those parts bc it was the first ever time i saw a silly-goofy-but-depressed shonen main character resort to alcohol and it was a fascinating concept

something about it reminds you that yeah vash has lived for so long, long enough to have found a vice that he knows isn’t really a vice because what if it was a punishment

or maybe i just like seeing vash depressed. there are two sides of a coin

i desperately wish meryl and vash could’ve had a bone crushing hug moment like it felt like it could’ve been there oughhhh

i love the fact that rudo is addicted to sweets because it just makes me think about how he really is Just a Kid.

he’s never had sweets before, nobody knew he actually would’ve been so obsessed with sweets had he stayed up there, had he been able to eat sweets up there. the thought makes me sob.

i think several og fans are confused about the whole no-lina-sheryl thing and you are not alone! me too!

from my interpretation, lina and sheryl saved eriks and gave him a reason to live, to keep going and to replace that with hoppered is interesting. especially knowing he blames vash for the whole incident with his sister(?), you can see him struggle not to kill eriks here at the end

also pointing out how vash is still in his catatonic state and how lina and sheryl were the ones to pull him out of that stupor but…they’re not here and hes still like this

my guess is that jessica (the girl at the end) is gonna take lina’s place in bringing “vash” back which im also confused about but not surprised since the story is very shortened and compact now

also the notification from the earth ships now means we’re not getting the hospital yuri scene 🥀
