A brow was raised in Jake's direction, conveying as much of a serious expression as he could despite being anything but. Days confined to a hospital bed with a revolving door of friends, family, and Reapers meant that the male needed to keep himself entertained somehow. "Been trying to think of logistics, ergonomics. What do you think; baby bjorn style? Or I can hang out on your back like a koala?"

"I don't get why Elijah insisted on bringing you along and not me." Jackie complained the moment Jake stepped into view, not typically one to give his fellow brothers-in-arms mercy when it came to spouting off at the mouth. "S'not like any of you wanna be there, so you got three big ass fuckin' grumps frowning their way through a fancy ass party. At least I'd liven the place up a little, give the people less reason to point and say 'who are those freaks'." A shrug, not bothering to look up from his phone or move from his spot on the communal couch. "Tell me you at least got a little dancing in, Jake, before someone cried bomb. Was there even a real bomb? No one's giving me a straight answer."
