❝ yeah i hate you, although you left
there hasn’t been a day that i have forgotten you
honestly, i miss you, but now i’ll erase you
because that will hurt less than resenting you
@fmdjake, sometime august 2016
“don’t stress about it.“ he keeps muttering to himself as he walks around his flat, moving things around, waiting for jake to drop by. he doesn’t remember the last time he had anyone but the manager drop by his place, it was pretty quiet, maybe his shoulder injury was enough for the company to get off his back, but it was a rough year for minhee personally. no matter where he went, where he looked, there was something negative attached to him name and despite the success of polaris, the idol would have much rather been swallowed by the earth. whole if possibly.
he’s mid stressing again as he looks at the table he had set, the food still steaming on the stoves. it was the first time in months he actually cooked, actually put in effort but he is already tired, worried about the fact he might ask jake to leave earlier just so he can wallow in self pity alone. but before he can spiral into it further, the bell rings. the walk to the door isn’t that long, but minhee takes an extra few seconds to hype himself up just enough that when he unlocks the door and pulls it open, he looks somewhat happy.
he still looks like shit, his hair is a mess, outgrown, held up in a messy bun, he’s lost weight, yet again, he feels like shit and just seeing jake is enough to spark some form of anxiety in him. when was the last time they saw each other outside of training? he can’t pinpoint, refuses to stress himself even more just by thinking of it.
“hey.“ minhee starts, forces a smile but its gone as quickly as it appeared, so he pulls the door open further, lets his groupmate in. “pick whichever slippers you want.“ he adds, taking a few steps back while pointing out at the sets of slippers lined up by the entrance.
