He’s 6 feet flat,he’s in football,he’s friends with Bo,he hates all nerds,bully,greasers everyone basically
Jake is a germaphobe no duh but bc of this he also has ocd he deals with regular intrusive thoughts/impulsive actions as a result of his condition this includes/intensives things like his nail biting and picking
at the worst times he can’t stand to even open his mouth to talk or eat bc he doesn’t want to risk getting any germs in his system he shrubs his hands before and after biting his nails even if he’s made open sores he scrubs harshly on the skin causing more irritation
He grew up a very sick kid/baby and that’s where his disorder started to develop rlly his parents who all around are pretty normal taught him many of these behaviors in hopes he would be able to avoid being sick washing his hands for a minute with scalding hot water,always having disinfectant Wipes,no shoes inside,changing clothes after coming inside type things that slowly become more of a problem instead of a hygiene habit as he developed but instead of getting him help/teaching him coping mechanisms for a long time they just avoided the subject and basically enabled him into crisis
He avoids eating out or eating with other ppl bc he worries about it did they wash their hand? What if the vegetables weren’t good and they used them anyway? The eggs,milk and what have you to the point where he causes himself to feel sick and does not eat he used to survive on pre packaged meals before he read how dirty the places they were made could be having said this he does not go to lunch ever he almost stopped being friends with Bo when he heard he started eating the cafeteria food
He can’t stand miss Philips she stands to close to him or talks in his ear where he can feel her breath in makes him sick though he does like art class if she would just let him design things instead of still life’s
He likes to sew and make designs it makes him feel connected to ppl around him without having to be near them he’s actually pretty good at it too if he could get close enough to measure
He was 13 when he finally got any sort of professional help mostly because he was on the brink of malnourishment and refused to eat drink talk for nearly a week and a half sports was suggested as something to keep his mind occupied but the only reason he agreed to sports is so he won’t be alone it would be much easier to pick on him if he was non clique it’s not exactly hard now but it helps but he hates it
Ted made the nickname germ after he overheard Jake telling someone not to drink from a water fountain bc of the germs/hearing him say the word germ so much the jocks pick on him a lot mostly unintentionally patting his back,slapping his butt what would be normal teasing to them is Torment to him though it has helped a small tiny bit only bc he feels like they’ve exposed him kinda to their germs enough that it won’t kill him/get him sick
He literally scalds himself when he showers he is also the reason no one is allowed to have harsh cleaning chemicals in the dorms anymore…. He gave himself chem burns by washing and cleaning with bleach
He thankfully doesn’t currently have a roommate(anyone want to make an oc for that role 👀👀) or else he would have to clean more
He likes blue I’m trying to think of happy things about him I’m sry 😭😭
Thinks ppl are pretty and likes the thought of relationships but has never had one bc….being close to ppl =germs
If he could he would set everyone on fire but he rlly doesn’t want to kill anyone
