I fell asleep super early but then woke up and for some reason was thinking about this match. Luckily, the whole thing is on YouTube for all to enjoy. I’m at this show, it was something to see live for sure.
I tell ya, I knew MJF was on the card. But I did NOT expect to have him put his ass in my face. Twice.
And here is a clip from my perspective 😂😂
This is probably minor but it's so cool to me and I wanna tell someone so I'll just post it here. I was at the Dynamite show last night in Norfolk and Leva had a table promoting Heels (which I totally wanna join one day). We chatted a bit and then a few mins later I ran into Captain Shawn Dean and we had a brief "hey, how ya doing?" exchange. Then this morning I had an early morning flight and was curious whether I'd see any wrestlers at the airport since Leva said a lot of them couldn't stay an extra day and had early flights. Ricky Starks and Rick Nox walked by me while I was in line for TSA and internally I'm like "OMG IT'S RICKY" and I felt like I had to seize the moment so I just said "hey Ricky!" and waved, and bless his heart cuz I could tell he was like "uh do I know you?" lol but he waved and said "hey, what's up?" and I was content with that acknowledgement. Then a little while after getting to my gate I saw FTR walk by! And when they started calling groups to board, guess who strolls into the priority line? FTR! So I've been randomly smiling throughout the day when I remember "oh snap, Ricky said hey to you AND you were on the same flight as FTR." There was also an indie guy on the flight who apparently has been working with AEW in an official capacity named Jake Manning (aka the Man Scout). Anyway, if you read all of this, thank you and sorry for being a mark lol but this was so exciting for me
Oh I also walked passed Rick Nox, Paul Turner, and others who I'm assuming were AEW staff and caught part of a conversation that sounded like tea. Part of me wishes I could've eavesdropped 😆
