Jake did everything he could to avoid his soulmate. The countdown on his wrist was getting closer and closer to the moment he was supposed to meet them. He was messed up. He didn't want to bring another person down with him.
He had isolated himself in the middle of the woods in a cabin. He sighed as he took a drag from his cigarette and watched as the timer counted down. Five seconds to go. Just as it hit zero, he heard a voice behind him. "God damn it.." He mumbled.
