“I’m just so frightfully glad you understand how all this clothing etiquette is malarkey.” This, quite possibly, is the most Jake thing that Jake has ever said, setting a brand new record in obscure Jake-isms. With their hands braced against bare knees, Roxy’s head bows for a most unladylike snort. Thankfully, it really adds to the exhibitionist state both parties have adopted for a swim-scursion.

Fluffing hair back from their face, bright magenta eyes fall on Jake's woefully confused face. God, the guy's a fucking riot, standing there with a quizzical expression and every inch of his junk out. "Everything's fine! I’m just— God, some of the shit you say is genuinely so fucking funny."

That pacifies him, smoothing worry out of his warm brow. While the Page is thoroughly distracted, they're quick to pad down the lakeshore dock, soft cheek to broad shoulder. "You're right, though. Naught but a stitch is very in vogue." And, all jokes aside, they do actually agree. Not even the carapacians had much care for clothing, so why should the Rogue?

Thankfully, the conversation diverts his attention from the flush creeping up his chest at their proximity. Instead, with a forlorn tone, he remarks, “It's just... such a shame Jane doesn’t follow. I think a bit of skinship would pull her right out of that recent emotional rut! She’s so tense, I’m surprised Dirk hasn’t stepped in.”

“Dude, for sure! But we gotta make sure we have all the benefits rehearsed. Before we sucker her into the fold, obvi." That does seem to perk English up slightly, head tilting at they urge him along, "C’mon, c’mon, let’s see you tread.”

With a shriek, Roxy barrels to the end of the dock. Jake is hot on their heels, intent on overtaking his Lalonde for the sole purpose of flinging them— bare-assed —into the lake himself.
