Jake and Amy literally consider this as one of their anniversary
Ages : Mac - 15 Maya-13 Maggie- 10
This year though they shared this moment with their kids
" and that kids is how I fell in love with your mother... I always wanted to say that line!"
"So mom you just threw a couple of nuts and dad fell in love with you?" Mac questioned.
"No not only that, she also used the term 'crushing debt' as you would recall from our many die hard rewatches Mac." Jake replied
Amy is amusingly watching this unfold
"So you telling me if I like girl I should take her on a rooftop and throw/eat nuts with her?"
" also you have a crush on a girl? Who is it? Do we know her? Does she like binders? " Amy remarked
Mac does a nervous laughter.
"So mom that's how dad fell in love with you but what about you?? When did you fall in love with him??" Maggie asked
"Ooooo I Wanna hear this one too!!! tell me how you fell in love with me ames!!" Jake replies.
Amy looks at Jake and answers,
" Well I can't pin point it but around the time daddy came back from an undercover mission, he was just so sincere and honest about his feelings and I was taken a back by this and well as time went on I just enjoyed being around your dad, he made and still makes me laugh... but I have to say I think I liked you about the same time you started liking me only that I didn't realise it and was in complete denial!!"
Jake sniffles and smiles.
"So mom did you double tuck him?" Maya asked, she had heard about this from her auntie Ro-Ro whom she considered the most badass aunt in the world.
"No" " Yes" Jake and Amy replied simultaneously.
"Wait what no you didn't Ames. You double tucked detective majors not me" jake told
"Yeah only because we were talking about you... wait how do you know that- you what just tell me later and it's not just that even the next day I double tucked for you."
"huh. I never knew that..." jake says tears in his eyes.
"Aw babe I double tucked for you"
"AMY SANTIAGO DOUBLE TUCKED FOR ME"
"Amy santiago-peralta, for you" Amy replied grinning.
"RIGHT. MISS SANTIAGO-PERALTA would you like to dance?" Jake lovingly asked
Mac,Maya and Maggie watched in pure disgust about how cute their parents were being and immediately left to their own respective rooms after enduring that.
