ok so the lore of this show is pretty confusing but the religion in the show is like this buddhist/christian fusion with multiverse? idk man it's weird and definitely draws on a lot of stuff from chirstianity while obviously being influenced by being written/produced in predominately buddhist country. anyways it's far enough removed from actual christianity that I think Khatha counts as fully original, cause really they only borrowed like adam & eve and the 4 horsemen and the portrayal of god isn't really aligned to christian theology at all. anywaya Khatha in the universe we see has become an immortal after being cursed by one of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, and then he meets 2 other horsemen and following a series of events he ends up being killed and meeting god who is dying and basically tells him that he has the ability to do everything that god can. also worth noting that god is voiced by the same actor as khatha and when god has his final words and fades away, a silhouette of khatha appears over it. anyways he gets revived through the death of the lady who was prophesied to revive god. unfortunately this all happened in the finale and there's been no news (yet) about a second season so we don't see a ton of khatha's god-ness but it's there! he has new green-themed abilities! anyways in terms of khatha himself: he is the saddest most pathetic loser gay boy of all time. all he does is cry and stare longingly at his crush. somehow became a multibillionaire? unclear how he doesn't have like a business or anything. he just runs a museum of cursed artifacts that like nobody ever visits? like yeah he's immortal and 200 years old but he spent 100 years crying in a forest. how he has any money in the first place is never explained but he still spends like 3 billion usd to buy an anklet for his crush
