Rest in Power to an icon.
I used to follow Jamal on twitter. I can’t remember if he also used to follow me too. But I supported him day in and day out whilst he built SBTV before he became well known. He would work the whole day and tweet that he’s barely had any sleep or been filming back to back. I watched his journey and would celebrate him or congratulate him with a tweet back and forth between us now and again. I cried my eyes out when I found out he passed away. A glowing light being (actually with braids) that looked like him touched my forehead in a dream or vision (or something) the night before I found out. I was so annoyed with God at the time for letting it happen lol but I obviously didn’t realise it was supposed to represent Jamal.
After I returned home to my mums in 2020, I created a small series just to talk about some random topics that I knew would help young people in navigating this world, from dating to friends that keep you in a box. Jamal had played a song on snapchat, I asked him for the name of the song and he gave it to me. Hello Hi by JB Schofield. I made it the opening and closing theme tune of my series before he passed. I had no idea he would pass away. In fact. I saw his name I think being mentioned, so I actually went to his profile and was looking at him thinking Jamal, you look a bit unhealthy.
You know when you watch over people from afar, then how it usually works is, you’ll coincidentally see them on a health journey a few weeks or months later and be like “Thank God!” But I didnt realise he had already passed away. I was very upset. - ML

Rest In Power May your example and works echo through the ages our brother did what he was here to do. @jamaledwards had Acton filled with those he reached. Influence and Inspiration works from beyond the grave. Let’s use the life we have and affect the necessary works we’re here to. Condolences to his family and friends.
