Road Trippin
Just getting back from D.C. with my young road warriors, Jamarr Hall, Seff Al-Afriqi, & Troy Riley... aka The whY Chromosomes. Had a ball spitting. Good love and energy in the room. Koren showed up. Koren is like a super hero whose special super power is love. I swear that woman is one big ball of light and love.

Featured in DC at Busboys & Poets, Tuesday. Brought my mentee, Jamarr Hall, with me and he rocked it!
Wednesday featured at World Cafe Live in Wilmington
Thurs, Fri, Sat evenings, did a series of shows with Randy Shine for the Fringe Festival Wilmington. Friday, I managed to get back to Philly in time to coach Jamarr and another one of my mentees, Kai Davis, in their poetry slam at The Fuze where they placed 1st and 2nd respectively.
Saturday morning, followed by CNNs Black in America before PYPM workshop.
Tonight -- taking Kai to perform at Swarthmore College. The crazy thing is, I'm more proud of the stuff I've done with Jamarr and Kai than anything I've done this week including the CNN stuff. I love performing... but I love watching my mentees perform more.
