Key information you should never forget...
It was on a cold winter morning that James was born into a life of riches on Cape Cod, Massachusetts that could never quite make up for lack elsewhere. His father was cold and calculating and his mother, wound tightly around her Bible, refused to speak against him. She always treated him differently than her own and held a tight secret from James- he was not hers, but a product of one of her husband’s drunken nights. James, the oldest, took the brunt of his father’s late nights with liquor tainted breath. It seemed as though he could never catch a break, so he dove into pastimes of his own that kept him far away from prying eyes and listening ears. It took a bit of growing up for him to apply to college, and when he did, he wanted to stay close enough to go home should his siblings need him but far enough to escape his dreaded once upon a time. Cabot Creek was situated in a perfect, cozy spot, nestled between mountains and James accepted his admissions and moved in with hope of a better tomorrow. He was excited yet apprehensive when one of his younger sisters, Eleanor, chose Cabot Creek for her college experience as well.

Professors know James is a good student. Brilliance is apparent in his work, but he is quiet and timid. There is a sadness behind his eyes and they wish he would open up and participate more.
James’s friends know he is good for a game of soccer, a drink, and a good time; but they know that he has his limits and once his wall is hit, they know to leave him be.
In high school, James was occasionally targeted for strange behavior but he had a group of good friends who always had his back.
