When I stand inside Cell #833 today, looking at Walsh’s drawings of religious figures, scenes from Roman and Greek mythology, and images of Queen Victoria, I think to myself: “This man’s body never broke free from Fremantle Prison, but his soul certainly did.” Looking back on my years with Epstein and Maxwell, I sometimes marvel at how I managed to endure how they treated me. But seeing what Walsh accomplished makes me realize: there’s something within all of us, even when we’re not aware of it, that fights to keep our spirits alive.

The present name came from an album by Tim Buckley, father of singer-songwriter Jeff, to whom they are often compared. "I love Jeff Buckley," Walsh admits. "You have to be honest about you're inspired by. But my songs start off a lot more Buckley than they finish. I have so much respect, I'd never try to copy him."

"Clouds of Witness" was published in 1926, when flying non-stop across the Atlantic was still rather like going to the Moon today (just as dangerous, anyway, though a lot cheaper). The British pilots John Alcock and Arthur Brown did it first, flying from Newfoundland to Ireland in a Vickers Vimy bomber in 1919.
