One of the few perks of being the only one still in The Daily Bugle offices this late was being the only one there to talk to any visitors. Which meant when a lawyer had called in to the paper, no other ‘official’ journalists had been able to swoop in before she could. “Hi, I’m Alex. I’m kind of the only one here, so how can I help?”

“Sleep?..” He doesn’t even remember the last time he had even gone near his bed let alone go into his bedroom besides getting clothes to wear. His bed looked the same as it did roughly a week ago; nothing had moved.

“Last night I think?” It’s a lie, and the bags forming under his eyes and how he nearly fell asleep behind the wheel on his way to pick up his sister for lunch last Thursday could attest to that.
