Okay, to clear up confusion, i was/am trans fem to an extent lol... I've been on estrogen/spiro hrt for almost 8 years!! I just recently decided to explore some more freeing gender presentation/feelings. I've always been nonbinary/trans fem, but I think I'm leaning more trans masc/nonbinary, but idk if that makes sense to most people and really idc haha. I have to just follow gender euphoria and not try to make it palatable/not-confusing... I do understand the confusion though, I think? Lol. But no the title didn't really have anything to do with being trans haha... I mean, I guess it does a little, but I picked it 'cus I wrote a song titled "Fake Gamer Girl" back in the day, but I like Fake Gamer a lot better... It's just a funnier title now. :p

no questions, just solidarity. I've been on estrogen HRT for almost as long as you but i don't rly feel like a woman in the slightest and had a similar non-binary realisation a few years ago. I've spent the past couple of years exploring masculinity and reclaiming it on my own terms now that it isn't being forced on me. I'm still pretty fluid in identity and presentation and I still look like a girl and have fem days occasionally, but I lean more masc I guess? It can be really confusing to navigate sometimes, but the freedom to be whatever I want is the best part of all. ✨💪🐑💖

Yes!! I still look really fem, even with a mustache!! lol. I'm honestly very happy for us!!

when a trans person works out some more about themselves, and changes their name a second time, is the first chosen name a deadname, or some middle ground? I'm trans but had not considered this sort of question before

eh, i think it's just good to go with the new preferred name. I wouldn't consider ash/ashlynn a dead name, but I just don't prefer them at.

Big fan, long time reader -first time asker. Lots of love from this little corner of the nb community xoxo, just interested though, if you could go back, would you have transitioned differently? Like, low dose hrt etc.? I'm transitioning myself and find your perspective really interesting.

Nah not really, like I imagine I'll go back on hormones at some point, and am just testing water with going off them... I didn't really feel like I was hit by HRT until 7 years in lol... I like my body how it is, I'm interested to see how testosterone makes me feel, and I'm looking forward to having facial hair (just some lol)... but yeah, I don't have a lot of answers, just working it out day by day. I like how I look though(?) lol.

not much of a question but i have recently been coming to a similar gender conclusion abt how ive been so committed to oddly binary ideas about my own transition when thats honestly so at odds with my actual beliefs abt gender so i love to see you talk abt this <3 seeing ppl be less linear abt gender transition has helped me so much bc for me gender HAS been so amorphous and conflicting and not fitting into labels i thought it would. basically just wanted to say i really enjoy your comics jamie, and i wish you so much peace and joy!!!
