LOCATION: Cobblestone Cafe, Downtown.
Back when JJ worked at the hospital, he would stop by Cobblestone Cafe multiple times a day to get his caffeine fix. It was the only way he was ever able to make it through the gruelling double shifts. Needless to say, since starting his new job at the Medical Complex, he has significantly reduced his caffeine consumption. He was only working forty hours a week and no longer needed to be on call. With Mia being sleep-trained, he was also sleeping through the night. His daily vanilla bean lattes were no longer a necessity. But every now and then, JJ would pop into the familiar establishment and get himself a steaming cup of his beverage of choice. Today was one of those days.
JJ had placed his order before stepping back from the counter and waiting for his drink to be prepared when he heard the door open. Jamie's familiar voice reached his ears, causing him to turn around. "Hey, Jamie!" He greeted his friend, grinning as he waved.
