Jamie McCready
St Peters Anglican Church, 2004
Jamie McCready is one of New Zealand’s significant graffiti documentarians with one of the most impressive and historical archive collections that spans over two decades. Alongside graffiti, he has also documented historical moments in New Zealand rap music including this body of work, featuring Onehunga’s pioneering rap veterans, R.E.S, back in 2004. The influence that R.E.S left behind was not forgotten and their work had left an imprint in the young minds of the next generation. Little did they know, the next generation were literally, hanging in their own backyard.
