The Bonne Maman Advent Calendar and other goodies have arrived!
Jamvent 2024 here I come!…in 5 months 😂😍🍞🥐🍇🍎🫐🍓🍒🍑🍍🍊🥭🍐🍽️
In the meantime there’s Hazelnut Chocolate Spread, 3 kinds of berry jam, and a collection of assorted little jars of jam that I bought not just because I really love them, but because I really needed a tin container of that size and shape.
A good thing I realized today. That in these dark and hard times, I have my Bonne Maman Jam Advent calendar to enjoy and have fun with friends this December.
It's finally Jamvent time for me!
Finally had the time to make scones and participate in this year's Jamvent. To spare you all multiple posts, I decided to do a jam on 1/4 of scone and be brief in my reviews.
Day 1: Quince spread - yay both as is and on scone.
Day 2: Guava spread - yay both as is and on scone.
Day 3: Apple quince - tastes very sweet of honey and I'm assuming the apple on both scone and as is. Medium amount of yay.
Day 4: Orange yuzu grapefruit - yuck on its own, not too bad on a scone, I don't like grapefruit in general. This jam was also in the 2022 and my notes say that I didn't mind at all on toast. (The dragon fruit/grapefruit of that year I gave a -1. )
Sorry that I’m behind on Jamvent. Major dental appointment got moved from the day after Thanksgiving to today. And after today, it’ll mean another 2 weeks of “you have to be really careful, nothing sticky, nothing crunchy” vagueness. The box of Jamvent jams keeps staring at me from the shelf mocking me, calling to me. When I do get to catch up, I am going to make bread or scones and have a damn feast of catching up.

Just a head's up that, according to the note I've had on my fridge for a year, July is when Bonne Maman (US site) sells their Jam Advent Calendar. I've already started checking the site daily to get into the habit. They sell out super quick, as you all already know. It's always a crossing fingers hope to score one. I already have my "let me get a smaller extra jam set to ease my anticipation" picked out. :D I wish I had written down the exact date I bought it, but keep thinking maybe July 5.
ETA: Okay, I found the picture of when last year's arrived in the mail - July 19. I remember that it came in just a couple of days.
