Janbrewery Day 3
Inker Artificer
The prompt today was "Slithering ink, magical tattoos, leviathan hues" so I made a Tattooer Artificer.
I'm still not happy with tattoos in 5e, not that I've solved the issue, just built upon its shoddy foundations.

Day 4 is on time y’all B-) This time i made the poor decision to use my second use of Barbarian. So no more Barb coming from me this month.
This subclass plays gently with some Necromancy, mostly raising gran gran to get some saving throw advantages. You get a Familial Thrall when you rage, who fights alongside you and can grant you and your allies some fun bonuses, or output additional damage. A little mix and matchy so you can play it differently a few times if you so choose. We’re here for a fun time, not to make mommas bones proud of us XD
Day 5 everyone! Today we went to play with Warlock, one of my favorite classes to brew. I think the Warlock needs more love XD. The prompt was Big Hits / Crits, so I took that in the Big Hits direction.
Before I get into some breakdown, I like my homebrew warlock classes to give the spells rather than provide the option to take them, so that is why you only see one spell on the expanded list, but you automatically learn it.
The class is designed around two things, the Hex spell and utilizing resources to output high damage for a high cost. The Hex spell has always been somewhat underwhelming for me, is it good? absolutely, but using it never feels as good as I’d like for a concentration spell. Is this all personal? yes. Regardless, as you level in this class your Hex spell no longer requires concentration, and deals an additional D6 when activated by attacks.
The second major feature is Apocalypse, a nice big fireball like feature that overcomes resistances and immunity. It gets stronger, adding damage for each Warlock Level, giving reason to keep gaining levels in the class. It can only be used once a long rest, unless your willing to sacrifice one of your spell slots.
The subclass also comes with a couple Eldritch Invocations, because whats a homebrew warlock without a few new invocations designed just for them? Hope that you all enjoy this one!
Posting day 3 on day 3. I have caught back up B-) This time for Janbrewery we have a fighter subclass. This is an underground fighter who brings some cheap tricks into the fight. The Subclass has a handful of strong “Tricks” that they can use to output high damage, debilitate the enemy, or control the battlefield. The fighter gains additional Tricks as they level, and can use them more frequently as well.
The subclass also has some magical tattoos to use to grant benefits that can be switched out, and the ability to drop a good old Darkness spell once a day.
Hope you all enjoy this one, martial classes are not my strongest brews XD
Janbrewery Day 1
Phoenix Knight: Fighter
This class was loosely inspired by the Phoenix Sorcerer from a UA a long while back.

Janbrewery
I issue a challenge (for fun, not glory) to my fellow DnD homebrewers.
Join in, and take part as much or as little as you wish. Show me your best designs!
I found a Janbrewery post and thought it would be fun to participate. I did however, forget that January happened and now its basically the 3rd, so I’ll try and push through some more of these.
The idea behind this one (the first, lets not get hung up on the date) is controlled burns for forests. How the fire is used to burn away the dead and dying foliage and breath life into new plants and seeds, to provide some nice tasty ashes for them to eat. I translated that into a ranger who starts fires. So I gave them some early fire damage, and to go along with the breathing life from the flames idea, also gave them some healing when they burn things. The abilities that follow enhance those starting abilities, giving more versatility and damage. Enjoy y’all
Catching up on Janbrerery, Day 2, This time for Barbarian! Having some fun with damage mitigation. The walking castle line was the inspiration here. The idea being that you provide protection around you for your allies, making it dangerous for AOE abilities but hey, what wouldn’t we all do for an extra +2 to our AC?
The abilities are designed around mitigating damage further for the Barbarian, and covering your allies, ending in you making sure that the enemy is focused on you, only you, and not the warlock crying on their last spell slot in the corner. Or at the very least making enemies run away in fear. Hope y’all enjoy this one, its short sweet, and lets you say “no, your sneak attack damage means nothing to me” to an enemy rogue.
