Some sketches that’ll eventually ink, but I’m just enjoying drawing my various OCs. Also may drop the prompt list and do my own thing at this point. And may go full sketchtober

3 (doesn't have to be Tumblr only just in general.) and 5 (I think the one about making friends) on the OC ask.

I think my OC Jane will be best for this. Especially 3. Oh 3′s gonna be long and an embarrassment to remember somethings about Jane.  And you’re looking for #7 for the friends one.

3: Jane, probably the first character I every created or at least the first one I remember, has gone through so many different incarnations/changes it’s both ridiculous and great. This will be a bit long as I elaborate.

Originally she was a bit of a clone of Fox from Bloody Roar(Waaaay before I realized Fox was a dude since I was a kid). Problems with translating games to the US and the character art didn’t help) with minor changes and a was a bloody mary sue for a long time until I joined an RP forum and actually learned how not to make mary sues(took awhile). Though i didn’t really RP much(shy kid and idiotic complex to boot(ah early teenage years) and eventually focused more on my other characters, Jane had completely changed.

Originally I think I had her as some human intergalactic fighter/bounty hunter/explorer that could shapeshift, could never die(kinda) and probably had every power one could think of, rich, super intelligent, classic cocky and overconfident chick, and probably any other mary sue trope/trait you can tag onto her. Ugh so embarrassing just thinking about it.

Now she’s completely alien, still kinda has the immortality thing but completely overhauled to not be so ridiculous and goes with her lore/prophecy-ish, her background has become more fleshed out, less tragic with her past and military work, and less “Oh the chosen one!’’ trope, and powers have been balanced out though I can admit some are probably still overkill but with how the story goes its kinda meant to happen. Still smart but not that “I know everything since the beginning of time and can solve any problem and build anything in a second” smart, level-headed now and more of a strategist with her military background. So huge changes for her over the years.

So I think out of all my OC’s Jane has been overhauled the most and for the better.

“I deeply value friendships especially with how my life has gone and the astronomical amount of people I’ve met over the years. If I can trust you with my life you know our friendship has reached close to the family bond. I’ll come to your aid at anytime as long as nothing is stopping me from doing so Though it is a bit different for some of my military friends, especially on in particular since we don’t get along too well. Ugh, Ghost and his flirting...”

Nice way of being subtle. “Can it.”

“I look for friendly people, though you can be cold as a cadaver and somehow we can still be friends, but I look for people that I can trust and rely on if needed. Don’t care if you have baggage, my life has been ridiculous and somehow I’m still sane. I’m a bit iffy on people with criminal backgrounds but it all depends on the person’s character. I’m not innocent myself with some of the things I’ve done with Ghost Babel.”

Slowly getting back to drawing and I want to try and focus on my headworld stuff for awhile.

Wanted to redraw/redesign Jane Audron(And eventually her twin) after I had gone over how Encariconian’s fur color(think humans and skin color and nationality) and geographical location would relate to other forms such as a human form.

Jane’s from a coastal village/town but her father is from the arctic region and her mother from a desert region(though she is fairly close to the coastal region). So arctic would equal darker fur colors(absorb heat better) which for a human form would equal more white/Caucasian/indigenous skin tone and possible features and the desert would equal light fur colors(reflect heat better) which then would equal darker African/Indian/middle eastern skin tones and features. Now the fur colors may change slightly with the seasons but that’s still in the air for right now. (Funny enough I forgot I left the notes on the drawing! XD)

Back to Jane, he father is more white(black fur) and her mother is more middle eastern(sandy brown fur). So trying to mix the two here. She gets the harder/more sharp face from her father and has more of her mother’s skin tone. Lots to think on and I just realized I forgot to draw her scars... well I’m also rethinking that since she’s got a ridiculous healing factor that would put Wolverine to shame. Heh

Encarciconian’s true forms are still in the air but they may just look like werewolves. Alien werewolves in someway but I just can’t figure out what way. Eh just gotta draw out the ideas though I’m liking the idea of body shapes and head shapes varying from region to region along with fur color.
