What about like. As a bartender or something. Or maybe apply at a food place. Or a substitute teacher. I remember one of them saying that the requirements weren’t bad. Maybe look into it.

bartender - won't work. the county has been dry for over 70 years and just went wet.

food place - there are only five mexican restaurants. not hiring.

sub - i tried, but they are "fully staffed"

First Friend. Then Lover. Lost both.

Her eyes flashed open to the bright sunlight that peeked through her curtains. A soft moan escaped her lips as she rolled to the other side. She was going to be a high school graduate today. She should be excited. Instead, Alanna lay in bed thinking about the guy she had dreamed of. He was perfect in every sense except one; he wasn't real and it was just a dream. She could never give up Princeton or break up with Lucas for a friend. "Nolan Foster," she whispered her fingers wriggling hoping for some thing, that the adventure she had dreamed of was real, that her friend and lover was real and not just a figment of her imagination.
