THINGS I’D LIKE: I’d prefer fic! But fan art or graphics would be nice as well. And I absolutely love River paired with Eight, Eleven or Twelve, but I’m actually pretty open on which Doctor she’s with.  I’d also be really happy with Mels/Twelve!  I prefer canon-compliant, but I’m ok with AUs.  Fluff, smut, angst-with-a-happy-ending type fics are all great.  

THINGS I DO NOT WANT: Please, no romantic Doctor/companion.  I don’t mind having Rose or Clara in there, but as supporting characters.  Also, please no babyfic, poems or songfic.

THINGS I CAN DO: I’m only really good at writing fic… I tend towards more plot-driven (and canon compliant) writing, but I can write fill in scenes, fluff, or smut.  I’m comfortable writing the newer Doctors (and within a reasonable amount, the classic ones as well.).  And i can write Time!baby fics.

THINGS I CAN’T DO: I’d prefer not to write Thirteen, because we haven’t seen her yet and I don’t have a good feel for what her voice will be.  No River paired with anyone but the Doctor, and no Doctor/companion.  And no graphics, fan art or videos…

PINCH HITTER: No, sorry. I just don’t write fast enough…

DON'T YOU EVEN. Remember the angsty fic I begged for you to continue and you didn't? At least my angst usually has a happy ending. Hoar.

The saddest part about the Silence arc being over (other than River not coming back, but this is not happening, nobody dare to question my denial) will be the lack of hilariously bad planning.

I mean, the Daleks - "let's throw the Doctor at a planet, I'm sure this is a great idea" - or the Great Intelligence - "look, I'm frustrated enough to just kill you a million times over, even though it really would be just enough to do it once at the beginning of your timeline" haven't exactly stood out either.

But nothing will ever beat:

Having a grand plan to re-write events they all already part of and have probably been part of for years.

One of the first orders of business apparently being kidnapping the Doctor's best friend to genetically manipulate and condition her daughter, because nothing says successful like convoluted.

Kidnapping the flesh duplicate of an already kidnapped Amy Pond. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ABOUT?

Spending thousands of years manipulating all of human history just because they were too lazy to build a space suit

Kidnapping someone and raising them to be a perfect killer, but storing them in some dingy orphanage and possibly letting them escape because of reasons

But only AFTER she phones the President of the United States, because that's apparently essential gear on a space/murder suit

Did I forget to mention that this trained killer will save the Doctor's life multiple times? I never said this plan was fool-proof (spoiler alert: none of this is).

Supposedly never losing Melody's tracks, but allowing her to complete her doctorate and come to her own conclusions about the Doctor, so she will be extra-motivated to a) decide not to kill the Doctor b) empty her weapons system, because nobody thought of that mechanical issue and c) marry him, idek anymore.

Blowing up the person's time machine without checking who's actually on it.

Consequently destroying the entire universe, ooops.

Causing the very cracks in time for which they want him dead in the first place.

Doing all this before their other (possibly first) weapon was conceived and born, because nothing says great planning like more paradoxes.

I suppose Tasha Lem gets weekly updates on what the Kovarian chapter gets up to and spends the night in question crying herself to sleep. Possibly tears of laughter, no one is quite sure about that.

Thanks! Yeah, i just took the plunge and made the decision to do it. I've been miserable pursuing a business degree this whole time. I can't just go in and change my major because I haven't technically started yet and I may even have to wait a semester to do that, but I just registered for classes and signed up for 3 Gen Ed classes and 2 communications/media classes that I'll need.

It's reckless and maybe a little stupid but I can already breathe easier. I should have done this years ago when I WANTED to.

Thank you! I did indeed, it was my 21st and I got a lot of presents including an Eleventh Doctor Bobblehead which is cute and hilarious (my Mum gets me great presents every time). Plus it sort of isn't over yet because next week I'm going to Melbourne with Mum as a birthday present and not only will it be my first time in Melbourne but we're going to see Grease which is amazing because I love theatre. 

P.S. Thank you again for wishing me a happy birthday. You are literally the only person from Tumblr who did and that makes me feel really nice.
