my thoughts on the janet documentary:
- it provoked a lot of emotions (emotional) - enjoyed seeing the unreleased footage from the years - watching the process of janet becoming a mother was truly everything - i loved seeing the small interviews from katherine but i could tell it was hard for her to talk about michael. i began to cry when she began to cry. - only thing i felt that was unanswered was what went wrong with her marriage to her last husband (because a lot of people were surprised) and if she has a good relationship with michael's kids (because a lot of tabloids/rumors say otherwise)
overall score: 9/10
watching Janet’s documentary made my heart wrench. I’ve never realized all she’s gone through. All that she’s put out to the world for DECADES!! i knew how important she was but now I understand it fully!
when she talked near the end about going out with a big bang, i was sooo happy for her. like she enjoys being a mother and she’s done EVERYTHING already. that would be so great, especially for her. but i couldn’t help but to feel melancholy. she’s been in pop culture for decades - it’s gonna be so different.
gahd im on the verge of tears - so thank you Janet for this docu, thank you for your talent, thank you for sharing your gift with us for so so long with so so much dedication. im not the hugest fan but damn do i love ha!
Icon.
Pioneer.
Blueprint.
First time I fell in love, I didn’t know what hit me” “With regards to connections, some way or another I’m drawn to individuals who use drugs,” Janet says prior to discussing her first union with James DeBarge, an individual from of the R&B bunch DeBarge.
oh they just stay winning 🥇
If there are fans following this account that are from the UK who are going to watch the Janet Documentary, please let me know if the footage appears to be manipulated. A network in Australia deliberately cut scenes when they aired it, and a bunch of Australian fans let the rest of the world know last night on Twitter. It will be shown tonight in the UK but I won’t be surprised if they fuck around
