#shepropchallenge day 6: sewing you are most proud of I’m so proud of this early 1870s dress from Janet Arnold’s Patterns of Fashion 2! I learned how to scale up and size the gridded pattern images in Inkscape. I custom drafted the corset pattern. I scaled up the chemise, drawers, and crinolette. I also covered the hat. So many of the skills I honed for historical costuming have been key for Star Wars builds! This was made fire a LARP character in an alternate history game, so I also made a pattern and constructed the gold leather robot hand/ glove. I flatlined the bodies and hid a ton of pockets in the skirt and bustle!
