Janine Antoni, I Speak Up, gilded mixed media

A woman’s face (the artist’s face?) looks up, and a younger hand (the artist’s daughter?) touches the woman’s neck, leaving behind gold. This image is framed in gold.

The simple curved line work around the nose and cheeks are interesting, as is the line creating in the center of the painting upward because of the head and neck’s illusion of movement.
