*:・゚ ♥ A flash of light appears around Nanashi, the bright whiteness of it forcing him to shut his eyelids. W-what was going on? When he opens his eyelids he finds himself in a field, and starts to read the gray screen that was flashing on his BitPhone. A tutorial, huh...? Looking to his side he sees another boy about his age, maybe a bit younger on the field. Wait... This means he was teleported to a battle area?! Oh no!!! He’s not mentally prepared for this!! He Looks the younger boy in his eyes, pleading with puppy dog eyes as he desperately grips onto his cleric staff. ♥ *:・゚
❝Ahhh~ So you’re gonna be my partner, r-right? You won’t leave me right?! Please don’t leave me alone!!❞

The absorption of HAPPINESS, the parasite that is longing, helplessness, uselessness, it drains him devoid of any feeling beyond EMPTY. He desires only the acceleration in his placement yet his dreams are STRIPPED from his being & he has given up. ( ALL YOU’VE KNOWN IS USELESS, ALL YOU’VE KNOWN IS UNNECESSARY ) yet still, he continues, lost within the grasp of his own self-pity, absorbed in thoughts that are HIM, HIM, HIM. How selfish he is, how self-aware, & even still he believes in the morals of selflessness! A WALKING HYPOCRITE. A CONTRADICTION WHO HAS ONLY RECENTLY DISCOVERED HIS FLAWS! A faulty soldier who has been too wrapped up in his own thoughtless pride to admit his wrongs, his weakness, HIMSELF. That is the ‘strength’ that has dominated his sorrowful existence.

✓ - How do they react to praise?
Okay, this one is something I’ve had to think a lot about, and basically Eren’s pretty humble. He doesn’t get a lot of praise from anyone, perhaps because he doesn’t deserve it. He is constantly trying and setting standards in which he’s incapable of reaching, and failing. Other people are constantly setting standards in which he’s incapable of reaching, and he disappoints them with his inability to reach them. His friends offer only honesty and will not offer praise where it isn’t deserved, obviously, and by friends I mean comrades from the 104th Squad. So in this case, he’d be surprised if anything. Even when he accomplishes things that HE deems as accomplishments, he’s often reprimanded (think of the time he succeeded in his first.. and only kill in human form).
Praise is foreign to Eren and he definitely doesn’t expect it from anyone. He wasn’t raised with praise and doesn’t need it to fuel the will power that he thinks he has, and did at one point. I can’t think of a time where he truly received any praise… even after blocking off the wall with the boulder, he went unconscious immediately after this and awoke three days later behind bars. I think if someone were to tell him that he did a great job, his faults, flaws, guilts, and all else would refuse it, given it was only a generic thanking for his service in the military. He’s not the soldier he wants to be and he would believe that he doesn’t deserve any sort of praise, however, he’d thank whoever may be speaking to him anyway. He wouldn’t let it be KNOWN that he doesn’t agree with them, or that he’s not what they think he is, and he may deem it unnecessary whilst appreciating a kind gesture.
So, all in all, I’d say it depends on the praise, because he may sometimes let you know that what you’re doing is completely unnecessary to the building of the race, and if you’d really like to do a kind deed, you should work for the people instead, because that’s just how he is. It depends on his mood and situation, for he may also show appreciation and gratitude through a genuine thanks, unless of course, you are a superior rank. In which case, he would be baffled, but it may serve as a proper ego boost (probably something he needs as of late hah) and that would probably be the only praise he’d really believe, given he looks up to and respects them so much.
♣ - What is one thing that they find embarrassing? (About them, others, things in general)
Oh, geez. Alright, so from what we can see the only time Eren’s shown obviously embarrassed was in the very beginning when he’s seen crying in public ‘for no reason’, and then later during the Training Corps when he is in a heated battle with Jean, gaining quite the audience, and he is swept off of his feet, over Mikasa’s shoulder (in front of everyone) and tossed onto the ground outside of the building. Of course, we’re not going to forget when he couldn’t properly function his maneuver gear, though that was more of a … hurt type of embarrassment rather than flustered, in which case you could conclude he’s embarrassed himself a plentiful lot when it comes to other holding aforementioned expectations over him, and his failure of resulting to touch these marks.
What I want to draw from all of these situations, is that it seems Eren’s really only embarrassed when his ‘masculinity’ or ‘authority’ is being threatened in front of an audience. He does not get embarrassed for other people generally, and not usually about things, given he doesn’t come into contact with many things that probably would embarrass him.
So yes, drawing this in, the two things that he would find embarrassing is being found weak by others, being publicly humiliated while engaging in a serious matter, and to go the more serious route, when he fails each and every time to complete a task set forth to him. Though, rather than embarrassment, I’d rather refer to such emotion as humiliation. It’s a lot more negative in it’s connotation and often drives him to tears rather than a heated face.
His reactions to such are generally channeled through a form of irritation, seeing as how that’s how he copes with negative emotions. He will blame others and take anger on them in the first two scenarios mentioned, but he will focus all blame upon himself given the last, or third, scenario given.
I hope that made some sort of sense–
