Taskforce Verse -- Meet the Wammys!

As we move into our next big arc, many of us have taken the time to create a new generation of Taskforce characters to flesh out the group of kids at Wammy’s House. Without giving too many details away about the upcoming plot, Wammy’s House is threatened by someone in the wake of Carver’s death, and all the Wammy’s kids, past and present, will have to join forces along with the Taskforce to save the orphanage from being shut down.

So without further ado, let’s meet some of the kids who will help bring this arc to life!

Name: Levka Lawliet Alias: L Age: 25 About: L was the start of the program that currently makes up Wammy’s House, because of his brilliant mind and exceptional talent. He left the orphanage very young to pursue a career as a detective. Current status: World’s Greatest Detective, leader of The Taskforce™ Played by: Iz

Name: Mihael Keehl Alias: Mello Age: 21 About: Once the second in line to be L’s successor, Mello took off to live on his own, joined the Mafia for a while, and eventually reunited with Near and joined L’s taskforce. Current status: Hanging arounf TFHQ, but back in the Mafia Played by: Kit

Name: Nate River Alias: Near Age: 19 About: Originally first in line to be L’s successor, Near was called away from Wammy’s to form the SPK in the height of the Kira case. He eventually gave up his path of successor to direct and live his his own way as well. That includes up and leaving the TF behind in favor of working as a private detective. Current status: Freelance detective in NYC, currently visiting Japan/The TF Played by: Nat

Name: Daisy Jeevas Alias: Previously went by Matt Age: 23 About: Brilliant hacker, best friend to many. Current status: Hanging around TFHQ with the crew! Played by: Kit

Name: Holly Richards Alias: Janus Age: 18 About: A former Wammy’s student, Janus gained L’s trust and admiration enough to be asked to join his taskforce. Upon Near’s decision not to persue the title of succesor, she inherited that position for herself instead. Current status: Living at TFHQ, in charge of the custody of Teru Mikami, and immediate successor to L Played by: Sara

Name: Louise Gautreaux Alias: Linda Age: 19 About: Linda is an artist, and a recent graduate of Wammy’s House. Current status: Traveling the world Played by: Blue

Name: Ryōsuke Ryūga Alias: Lyosha Age: 20-something About: Freelance detective originally from Wammy’s who resurfaced to help during the New Kira case, and later the Carver case.  Current status: Out and about, doing his thing. Played by: Darcy

Name: Nariko Yumai Alias: Mirai Age: 17 About: A Wammy’s runaway and criminal, Mirai was sent to live with Near and work with the Taskforce. When Near left Japan, she returned to Wammy’s. Current status: At Wammy’s Played by: Jas

Name: Lucy Cho-Castle Alias: Castle Age: 15 About: Castle keeps to herself, not liking to draw attention. She’s very analytical, compared to your average human being, and even untrusting.  Current Status: At Wammy’s Played by: Mariana

Name: Milo Lotus Alias: n/a Age: 16 About: Milo is the son of Harold Lotus, an inventor/entrepeneur/old frenemy of Watari, who was abandoned at Wammy’s House as a baby. He’s currently training to be a professional dancer. Current Status: At Wammy’s Played by: Nat

Name: Seung Taylor Alias: Bittersweet Age: 17 About: Bittersweet is just as his name implies-- he can be a dick but be writes poetry and is very talented at persuasion when he wants to be. Current Status: Living at Wammy’s Played by: Jas

Name: Vanessa O’Connor Alias: Wednesday Age: 17 About: A dedicated student who dreams of becoming the world’s greatest female detective one day. Current Status: Living at Wammy’s Played by: Kit

Name: Samira Morgan Alias: Silver Age: 16 About: Silver is a programmer and overall math nerd. Current Status: At Wammy’s Played by: Blue

Name: Cass Anne Lovell Alias: Carver Age: 17 About: Former girlfriend of A and friend of Janus and B, but fell out with Janus after A's suicide (which she blamed Janus for). Her area of specialty was botany, and she spent much of her time outdoors tending the memorial garden she started in honor of A. Died on August 26, 2015, in her room at Wammy's. Current Status: Deceased Played by: Sara

Name: Becky Swann Alias: Leto Age: 16 About: The resident Wammy's House gossip, she has only one close friend, Cora, but knows (and relishes) absolutely everything about everyone else's drama. Current Status: At Wammy’s Played by: Sara

Name: Nico Jackson Alias: Torrance Age: 15 About: The closest thing Wammy's House has to a frat boy, but much of it is an act to keep people at arm's length. He has exactly zero respect for L or anyone else in authority, and generally prefers to be left alone. Current Status: At Wammy’s Played by: Sara

Name: Danny King Alias: Royal Age: 17 About: He's something of a flirt around women in general, but had an unrequited crush on Carver until her death, often helping her in the garden for an excuse to spend time with her. Now, after her death, he's taken over the main task of keeping the garden going in her memory. He remains convinced Janus was behind Carver's death. Current Status: At Wammy’s Played by: Sara

Name: Dinah Sounder Alias: Cora Age: 15 About: She's very sweet, shy, and quiet, and tends to cling to her more outspoken friend Leto. She doesn't bear Janus any ill-will, mainly because she doesn't bear anyone any...though she does wish Torrance would stop picking on her. Current Status: At Wammy’s Played by: Sara

Name: Emmaline Locke Alias: Tempest Age: 16 About: Good at the sciences, on the shy and cautious side with new people, as they have only been at Wammy’s since January. Current Status: At Wammy’s Played by: Kit
