18-- A pocketwatch his father gave him.
24-- Winter! Daring is fond of the snow. It’s quiet.
39-- A bagel sandwich, with eggs and bacon and cheese, and three shots of espresso in a cup.
53-- Hmm. I expected angry, edgy rogue sort, and instead got Sad Estinien with daddy issues.
37. Do they have any phobias?
Anything that denies him freedom-- being restrained, closed in, chained. Especially in the context of slavery, or a similar power imbalance. It’s not necessarily claustrophobia (he’s alright with small spaces so long as he’s in them willingly), just an absolute fear of having his agency taken away. He has to really, really trust someone to allow them to even play at it, and even then it would probably make him uncomfortable.
46. If this character was in a musical, what would their motif be (what kind of instruments do you hear, what’s the tempo, ect)
Oh jeez oh god I’m so not a music person uhhhhh... I listen to a lot of impressionist classical when writing him-- there’s a certain type of flute that’s just very bright and wistful. That and like, the most twee earnest hipster acoustic guitar. Something full of yearning.
O-ho. Ho boy. So @tiergan-vashir actually asked this one too, and it’s kind of a funny story, so I’ll make sure to answer it.
Long, long ago, deep on a place that shall not be named, when I was like, fucking *12*, I made an RP character that was uh... god, I can’t even remember. He was some fuckin... son of Satan, half vampire something-or-other Lestat-ass fuckboy. Pretty standard stuff for embarrassing pre-teen OC, honestly, but the real kicker is that eventually I re-purposed and re-packaged this OC into the fucking World of Warcraft when I was an idiot *16* year old for the sole purpose of wooing Emily. Somehow, this idiot ploy worked, and to this day (with A HEFTY AMOUNT OF RETCONS AND REWORKING), I still play a... vague iteration of this original OC, at least in some sort of way.
Obviously, I’ve grown as a writer and as a person, and I like to think that Ezekiel is actually a pretty good OC, these days, with very little in common with my version of him when I was twelve. But there’s still that spark that was there, deep down when I was just discovering roleplay, that went “I want to roleplay a badass vampire”.
