Something was eating at Cievian.
Oh, he was able to put it aside, for a while, now that Kriann was back. Now that he knew he was safe. In the shadows of the room, while their hands slid over each other’s skin, he could tell himself that it didn't matter.
But the doubts crept back in as they lay there in the semi-darkness of his room lit by a single glowing arcane light. While Kriann pillowed his head on his chest and murmured a sleepy ‘love you,’ Cievian stared at the ceiling and stroked his fingers slowly through the rogue’s hair.
He was going to have to tall the truth soon. He couldn’t keep the secret locked up forever, not after the choice Kriann had just made.
He could only hope that the truth didn’t ruin everything.
