*faints* no this is the cutest tho. Thorin swatting at him and trying to duck out of the way, Bilbo always managing to get in there with his handkerchief regardless. Or for some reason handkerchiefs just keep appearing in his forge, and Thorin has no idea why? I love this.

when Frodo meets the Durin Princes, Uncle Thorin's other-nephews, for the first time, he tugs on Fíli's moustache and asks if he's part cat. Kíli laughs for five minutes straight and then proceeds to make meowing noises every time Fíli speaks for the rest of the night.

Frodo makes cat ears for Fili out of parchment and wire. Fili is sort of offended but also sort of thinks it is adorable: as soon as Frodo turns those big eyes on him, he can’t say no. Luckily, everyone else is equally susceptible to Frodo’s charms, and no one questions the fact that the crown Prince wanders around in parchment cat ears for several months.
