I loathe with my very soul that practice does in fact make perfect. In my heart of hearts, I believe that I should be able to do things once, with absolutely devastating accuracy, and then keep doing so (perfectly) unto eternity. I do not think that is an unreasonable expectation at all, and resent that it's not how the world, my hands, or my brain, have been put together.

the handling of the orcs in rop has to be some of the most interesting adaptation choices from the showrunners. from adar saying they are all creations of the one to glug having a lover and a baby, we (the audience) share on galadriel's prejudice (ie, thinking they are all mindless or slaves or an inferior lifeform) but the show keeps going out of its way to prove us wrong.
