Patricia [Lent] told us that Merce was one of the first modern dancers to take ballet class, and you can see the ballet influence in aspects of his movement. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's comfortable for me! It's hard to find true parallel as a ballet dancer, for example. Even when you think you're turned in, you look down and you're three degrees turned out, and it changes the look of the leg. So it's tricky.
