     About six years ago, I was given a jar just like this one by my partner at the time. I believe it held a hundred reasons why they loved me, and it was one of the most thoughtful gifts I had ever received.

    I have decided to recreate such a meaningful gift, only this one is stuffed with questions that I feel will allow complete strangers (and sometimes friends and family) to connect more personally.

    I realize the risks of such a project. When we were younger, our parents warned us about the dangers of talking to strangers. We can just never really tell whether that man sitting alone at the corner of the room is lugging a bag full of flowers, or one of bones. But I think the reward of both myself and my audience becoming more cultured by the many people who share our world outweighs those risks.

      Why a jar of questions? I’m a firm believer in the idea that everything happens for a reason. That we are meant to be in the exact position we are in. That the people who have left the biggest impact on our lives were placed before us when they were for a certain purpose. One that is beyond our comprehension. I want this force to exist when I meet my strangers. I want them to be the ones to essentially choose for themselves what it was that was meant to be shared all along. And I want these stories to be completely raw, authentic, and just as colorful as this jar that mirrors my mind. This jar will be the very heart of this blog.
