~ Jashin means Evil God, Evil Heart, Evil Design or, if we use the full name Kyofu no Jashin, Demon of fear. ~ Jashin is known as buddhist god of destruction and death ~ The Religion is a very small cult or sect. It is so small, that Konoha can´t find any information about it or living Jashinists, after the attack from Hidan and Kakuzu. ~ Hidan and Ryuki and his people are the only known Jashinists ~ Hidan is inmortal, because of a Experiment of this Religion. ~ Hidan claims, that he kills people, so they lost their fear to die. ~ Jashin is a greedy god who demands human sacrifice. Jashinist´s must kill their opponents. Nothing other is desired. ~ The two Jashinistic techniques are called: Curse Technique: Death Controlling Possessed Blood - and - Curse Technique: Body Controlling Manipulated Blood. These are so-called curse techniques. Kakashi and Guy suggest that Ryuki's Jashinist technique is based on a common curse technique. ~ Hidan carries a prayer beads with a Jashin symbol. Wearing such a necklace doesn't seem to be mandatory because Ryuki doesn't seem to have one with him. ~ Hidan prays before and after every fight, asking his god for a good kill or for forgivenes, if he can´t kill his enemy. Prayers after a fight seem to take quite a long time. ~ While Jashinists appear to be power-hungry, as seen in Ryuki, they are not materialistic, as evidenced by Hidan and Kakuzu's arguments. ~ The Jashinsymbol means "Turn the world order upside down". The triangle in the middle also stands for femininity. ~ The coloring that Hidan takes on during his ritual is reminiscent of a Shinigami (God of death).
