ITV+CHANNEL4+CHANNEL5= ITN
On Thursday the 3rd of May we were invited to spend the day at ITN, courtesy of media trust. In the morning we got to be in the audience of "The Wright Stuff" to see how a live show works. It was really exhilarating. First off we were taken into The Gallery to see how it works to operate a live show, technically. I have started to teach myself how to edit and rather enjoy the process. I thought I would have found it monotonous and boring but it seems quite satisfying once one has pieced everything together; hence why seeing professional edit was truly a blessing. One of the floor managers asked the audience if we had an funny stories of meeting celebrities. I had a funny story to tell of the time when I met Vinnie Jones when I was 16, but I was unable to tell my story due to time constraints of the show, which is something that tends to happen a lot with live TV; things are cut out last minute due to simply not having enough time to include them. After that we were taken upstairs to meet several different professionals who told us what it takes to make it in this industry.
