I have on many occasions ranted and raved about my love for Jason Webley’s music and poetry. But. He is the guy who introduced Neil Gaiman to Amanda Palmer, and he’s always been close buds with them. So what are the chances he’s not also a huge piece of shit?

I’ve tried to search around to find out if he’s implicated in anything and the only thing I found was a throwaway comment in a Reddit thread saying “everyone knows Jason is a creep as well”. But since that’s the only reference I’ve found I’m not sure that everyone, in fact, knows that. But the lack of discussion might be because he’s just not famous enough. People don’t talk about him. Which, previously I’ve wanted people to talk about him more because he’s a genius and his music is fantastic, now I want people to talk about him more so I can decide whether to cut my losses and try to purge that music from my mind along with his friends and their work.

Is this scrupulosity or a valid concern? Is it cancel culture, guilt by association, or reasonable caution?
