Chariot Parade ~ Flashback - Jason and Jennifer
"Could they have done a worse job on my tributes this year?" Jennifer growled, a smirk tugging at her lips as she glared at the tributes from District two. "You'd think they would try something new! Two huge fucking rocks. They couldn't do anything better than that? I swear I'm gonna murder those prissy capitol sons of bitches."
She turned to face Jason who was standing next to her. Jason was a fairly new victor however she wasn't much older than him. Jennifer won at the age of twelve, and had only just turned 23. But the victor had many years of mentoring under her belt compared to the younger victor. Jennifer was slightly excited for the games this year. She had personally trained the tributes entering this year and she had slight hope, however they were not her first choice. The boy was only fifteen and while he was strong, he could have had two more years of training under his belt if he had volunteered at eighteen. But it wasn't up to her, the older victors decided who volunteered from the academy. That wasn't the case during Jennifer's games, though..
"You weren't around, but when I was 16, they threw this party in the capitol, some shit about how they thought it was important that Panem saw how I had grown since I was twelve. Whatever, but they had designed this dress made out of rocks with gold pieces scattered throughout. It was magnificent." A light smile formed on her lips as she looked down at her boots, and back at Jason. "I'm Jennifer, Jennifer Patterson." She held her hand out to meet Jason's.
