Starfire was one of the single people that he genuinely felt bad at being rude or more brash towards to. Yes, he had seen her fury and how capable she was to kill a man if she wanted to, but still, he treasured the fact that she stayed with him and Roy for so long, even when they took their separate ways.
He knew very well that whatever he talked about with Dick, it couldn’t be good, they belonged in different eras. That was one of the strangest things that seemed to occur in this town, people that he knew and shared a certain relationship with just seemed to forget things.
“What? Did he say anything bad to you?”. He had to skip the fact that he nearly punched Dick unconscious in an alley not too long ago. “Roy isn’t here, no. He was here briefly, but lucky bastard must have escaped.. without me, that is”, he huffed.
“He...he is stubborn. I am very worried for him.” She left it at that, not wanting to get incredibly deep into their problems. “He is going to work himself to death, but I am sure you are aware of this.”
She bit her lip again at his next words. Somehow she felt bad that she actually was upset he wasn't there. “Is it selfish of me to say I wish he was here? I am glad he was able to escape, however. I hope he is doing well. I...have not seen him in quite some time.”
The Tamaranean ran her hand through his hair and gave him a small smile, resting her palm on his cheek. “I am sure it was not on purpose. He would not leave you behind. I know this to be true. It is cute when you huff like that, however.” She let out a small laugh at his expense, but it wasn't meant in mean spirits.
