I was asking you about Lapis on one post, but I’ll ask you separately about Jasper in another.

What do you want to see about Jasper’s journey in learning to handle relationships and complex emotions? Like, Jasper has negative personality traits that keep her from making lasting relationships with people and she’s had plenty of episodes exploring those so that the audience can learn from her mistakes as she processes what has happened to her. It’s that kind of story-telling that is the reason I love comedy and drama: its about flawed, damaged, zany people making mistakes and enduring them.

It’s why I can’t even think of a character I hate on Steven Universe. Every single one of them gets to be zany, weird and flawed and have amazingly horrible things happen to them as a result of real character. I’m starved for it, I love it. A show about characters... not mcguffins and plot devices and power ups... It’s about crying, singing, and crying while singing.... IS JASPER EVER GOING TO GET A SONG?
