From my SW x JP fic! It was supposed to be 75k and it's now 122k and I'm not done so the joke is on me, obvs.
Anyway, enjoy this flashback scene.
There was a crack of lightning in the sky, and Obi-Wan frowned.
“Sounds like rain,” he murmured.
“Yeah,” Kal agreed, “It does.”
There was something soothing about storms in the desert.
Lightning cracked across the sky, and Kal watched from the edges of their base, unable to take his eyes off it as the entire landscape lit up—the rain pounding down in a roar that made it hard to hear yourself think.
That’s what he needed right about now.
To not think.
Especially when all of his thoughts fell to calloused fingers gripping his cock, Jaster’s soft panting in his ear as the man had jerked Kal off like it was just a favor you did for friends.
It was all he could think about.
Another strike cracked against the sky—thunder booming after it as Kal tilted his head towards the rain, letting it drench him as he tried to think of anything else.
“Skirata. Are you really sure that’s in your best interest?”
Kal fought the urge to groan as Jaster’s voice, just the sound of it, did things to Kal that he couldn’t handle.
“Kal. What are you doing?”
Jaster’s warm arm brushed up against his shoulders, and he tensed.
“What are you doing? Don’t touch me.”
Jaster’s arm only settled on him as he pressed them hip-to-hip.
Kal jerked back, snapping his head to glare at Jaster.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” he growled, “Get off of me!”
“Kal, it’s just us,” Jaster said, his voice nearly silent in the howl of the wind.
“I didn’t give you permission to touch me,” Kal said sharply, and Jaster watched him carefully.
“You didn’t seem very against it either,” Jaster replied, “I took your coming in my hand to mean you enjoyed it. Are you telling me that I was wrong?”
Kal’s head swung around, his chest tightening at the thought of someone overhearing them.
“What are you doing?” Kal hissed, stepping closer, “Are you trying to get us both discharged? You can do whatever you want, but don’t drag me into your bullshit!”
“No one is here,” Jaster repeated. "I came to get you because we should be heading to bed. Imagine my surprise when you were standing like a drowned rat in the rain, staring at the lightning like you were hoping it would hit you.”
“Oh, yeah, because you know everything about me!” Kal snapped back before he could stop.
He didn’t even really mean it—none of it—but he didn’t know how to stop the words pouring out of his mouth. The shame of what they’d done sat heavy in his stomach for days afterwards, and the desperate ache of wanting it again had frayed Kal’s nerves until he wasn’t sure there was anything left of them.
“You’re right, I don’t,” Jaster agreed, “But I want to. Isn’t that enough? Isn’t…this enough for now?”
His hand reached out, and he yanked Kal to him.
Kal flushed as their chests met, Jaster’s hands wrapping around his waist as he pulled Kal flush to him.
“Isn’t knowing that you can have something you need enough?” Jaster murmured against his ear, his lips brushing against the spot behind Kal’s ear that made arousal shoot through him, “Don’t you want me, Kal?”
Jaster’s hands wandered until he grabbed Kal’s ass and squeezed hard.
Kal’s face was on fire as his cock jumped.
“Jaster, please,” Kal breathed, “Don’t do this to me.”
Jaster said nothing for a long moment—his hands still on Kal as the rain pounded down on them—and for a moment, Kal thought he might walk away.
He hated that the thought made his heart clench, just the idea of the man walking away making something ache inside his chest like there had been anything more between them than the single night Jaster had pulled Kal into his arms.
“I won’t do anything you don’t want me to,” Jaster murmured, “But can you really tell me that you want me to stop?”
His hands started to shift, and Kal panicked, grabbing Jaster’s arms. His fingers dug into the skin as Jaster looked at him, his expression complicated.
“Kal, you have to make a decision,” Jaster said, “If you like what happened and you want to keep going, then you’ve got me, but if you want it to just be one night that we forget about, you won’t hurt my feelings. I know that something like this is a lot to deal with. You might need time to come to terms with—”
Kal had barely heard the man’s words as he’d stared at Jaster’s chapped, bitten lips, his fingers tingling with the urge to pull the man down.
So he did, slamming their mouths together to kiss Jaster desperately in a clash of teeth and tongue as Kal tilted his head to meet the taller man.
When he pulled back, he was heaving—his stomach a mix of knots from the anxiety and desperation of everything—and he already knew he was completely screwed as he looked into Jaster’s hazel gaze.
“I want it,” Kal said, all but clinging to Jaster, “Please, I want it.”
Jaster softened, his lips brushing against Kal’s ear as the rain battered them.
“Then you’ve got me,” Jaster murmured, “That’s all I needed to hear.”
