Sign ups are open to writers, artists, and backup band members.

You can sign up as many times as you want, as a writer and/or artist, just please be aware of the commitment you are taking on! To sign up again, just fill out the form again.

Please note: On the form there will be a spot to put your email address. This is solely for the mods’ use to contact you and your email will not be shared. Please list an email you check often.

There are three types of bangs for this event: teeny bangs, mini bangs, and big bangs. Teeny bangs are fics between 5k-10k. Mini bangs are fics between 10k-20k. Big bangs are any fics 20k and above. The minimum word count for this event is 5k. For this event, we do not accept RPF, incest, or explicit (E/NC-17/R) fics, however, any other ships, genres, themes, and universes are okay! Write to your heart’s content!

Each fic will have an artist. Teeny and mini bangs will receive one piece of art while big bangs receive two, in any medium the artist chooses. White- and orange-washing will not be tolerated.

There will be a Backup Band consisting of writers and artists on hold in case any others have to drop out of the event for any reason. Those called forward from the Backup Band will be accommodated in terms of posting dates.

Summary:

In 1995, Bobby makes a deal with a shady magician with unintended consequences that reach twenty-five years into the future. In 2020, Julie is drowning in guilt over the death of her mother and Flynn is doing their best to help, but there’s only so much that can be done when one of their best friends has abandoned them. The unexpected arrival of three accidental time-travelers sends Julie and Flynn on an adventure into LA’s underground magic scene to find answers and make new friends, but enemies are lurking around every corner. Secrets are revealed, the past comes to light, and Julie and her new friends have to fight to protect themselves and their family from a fate worse than death.

[id: two illustrations with a quote in the middle. in the first illustration, alex from julie and the phantoms is smiling, trying to take a sip of his iced coffee, but the straw hits his cheek instead. he is wearing a pink shirt with cherries on it. in the second illustration, willie has his cheek in his hand as he smiles at alex, besotted. the quote, which is from the above mentioned fic, reads as follows: 

Alex is laughing too, swirling his coffee with one hand and managing to miss his mouth with the straw as he tries to take a sip, too busy shaking with giggles. “Sounds like a trip,” he says,  wiping stray droplets of coffee off his cheek with his hand. It’s very endearing.

Turns out, Alex is kind of as much of a helpless dork as Willie is.
