Tessa pulled into the parking lot of the bowling alley, her blood still boiling from her visit to the prison. She’d gone to see her brother, as she did whenever her work schedule allowed. It was rare she spent over two weeks without a visit. He’d looked exhausted and sore. It had taken only a few minutes of pestering to get the truth out of him. There had been a fight. Dean wouldn’t give her details, wouldn’t say if it was because he’d been mouthing off or because of who he was affiliated with, but Tessa didn’t care. She was throwing her own morals to the wind to make sure this shit didn’t happen. Oddly enough, her first instinct wasn’t to blame the Bastards. So far, they hadn’t explicitly said they resented Dean, and he’d been safe up until now, but if something was changing inside the prison they needed to know and they needed to fucking do something.
Climbing out of her car, she slammed the door and strode inside of the bowling alley, looking around for her brother’s former boss. His legal boss, anyway. She’d thought this was Dean’s full time job, but apparently it was just a mask for his dealing. Either way, Javi was someone who knew Dean and knew her. Even if she didn’t care for his choices, she believed him to be someone who cared about her brother’s safety. “Hey.” she said, spotting him and walking closer. “Drop whatever you’re doing. I need to talk to you.”
