Honestly, just rewatching the movie and seeing a bunch of meta surrounding their relationship (in both a platonic and romantic sense). It's def the kind of ship that creeps up on you lol
I was also surprised by how considerate he was towards her the entire time. I expected something completely different regarding their relationship (unrequited love), but he clearly loves her regardless of her feelings towards him, and wants the best for her. The bar is in hell, but it made Javi one of my favorite characters.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
I think their canon relationship is FASCINATING. There's so much unspoken angst that both of them love the dance around, even though they'd be the only two people on earth who could ever really understand what they both went through.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
(Me and the 2 other KateJavi shippers) If they were to get together, I don't think Javi would be super willing to actually date at least at first. I feel like he has a lot of complicated emotions towards her, and would have some sort of doubt that she wanted him the same way he always wanted her. You could also say that he might feel like a 'last resort" option (Thought she would be heartbroken if he ever said this to her)
The same could be said vice verse, but I DO think that her feelings towards Javi would hit her like a fucking truck lmao
Watching the movie, and having my friend call it "Twisters: The Polycule". I think one of the things that drew me to the ship was that there really *wasn't* a "bad guy" in their dynamic that made the ship uncomfortable. The ending at the airport with all three of them is my favorite.
Also, all three of them look really good together lbr

The fact that the dynamic between the three of them has some of of the tastiest tropes:
Kate/Tyler: Love at first sight
Kate/Javi: Friends to lovers
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
A lot of fics have Tyler/Kate get together first, which makes sense considering the ending, but I do think that it's much messier than that. I think they all stumble into a relationship at the same time, and there isn't really an established couple for a third to merge into.
They give off the kind of couple who like to pretend that they're "just friends", but start stuttering whenever someone calls them out on it.
