How Beauty Loved the Beast by Jax Garren My rating: 3 of 5 stars I'm still wondering why I waited so long to read the final of this dystopian series that I liked so much, but sometimes I do, I refer to prolong the pleasure ... However Hauk and Jolie are really a lovely couple, I have something to fault regarding the end, but all in all the words of the author have explained why she decided to end the book as the tale to which it is inspired. Cute, now I hope that she writes soon some other book! Mi sto ancora chiedendo come mai ho aspettato tanto per leggere il finale di una serie distopica che mi é piaciuta tanto, ma a volte lo faccio, rimando per prolungare il piacere... Comunque Hauk e Jolie sono proprio una bella coppia, ho qualcosa da ridire nei confronti del finale, ma le parole dell'autrice tutto sommato, mi hanno spiegato come mai ha deciso di terminare il libro come la fiaba a cui si é ispirata. The Elf and the Ice Princess by Jax Garren My rating: 3 of 5 stars So, as I promised here is my review: The story is about a divorced and sad woman who met a wannabee christmas elf and falls in love. Obviously it is not so easy, as she distrusts every man after the behaviur of er ex-husband but who is this really nice guy head over heels with her? A very famous layer or somebody with a dark past in the northern territory? A christmas story that is nice to read. The Underlight is a secret organization, its main goal is to neutralize the Ananke. The Ananke is a goddess worshipping group of magical users that is intent on world domination and control at any cost. Wesley Haukon, Hauk, is her trainer. An ex-military sergeant, Hauk was badly disfigured by fire. The circumstances around the accident that killed his squad and destroyed his appearance are questionable at best, but Hauk has been tried and found guilty for the death and murder of his squad and is now hiding in the Underlight. Hauk and Jolie have some serious communication issues but one thing is for certain, the sexual attraction between them is combustible. Hauk wants to protect Jolie from any harm and Jolie just wants to be one of the team. The Ananke is once again after Hauk and Jolie must rely on her inner strength and new found friendships to save her friend. There is just something about Jax Garren’s writing the pulls me in. I get completely riveted to her story telling. The twist on Beauty and the Beast and not what you would expect and I am definitely thrilled with her adaptation. Jolie is from a rich family, who has deep ties in the Ananke’s ranks. Hauk is from a poorer upbringing, with an mysterious super human ability. I loved watching these two wonderful characters develop and their relationship grow. Now that I’ve read 2 books in this series its official, I’m a full fledge fan! This ARC copy of How Beauty Saved the Beast was given to me by Carina Press in exchange for an honest review. Publish Date February 11, 2013.
