Stuck with me - Jax Teller
Request for @homicidalteenagedream :
can you do one where you find out you’re pregnant with an exs baby and you have only been with jax for about two weeks?
Kept this one short and sweet. Hope you like it :)
It was 11.20pm One hour since you’d arrived home. 4 minutes since you’d finally plucked up the courage to take the test. And 1 minutes since you’d looked at the result. You were definitely pregnant. You let out a sigh as you slid down onto the floor. At least you knew, the past few days had been exhausting. When you were a full week late you’d forced yourself to take a test. Although deep now, you knew the answer all along. Something just felt different. You pulled your knees up to your chest as a tear rolled down your cheek. You had no idea what to do. Your life was finally going well. You had a job you loved, a nice apartment and a new boyfriend, all be it very new. Things were finally starting to look up.
You spent a good hour just sitting there. Your back against the door as you ran every possible scenario through your head. You had to tell Jax, you’d only been going out for a few weeks. But you’d been friends for sometime before that, he’d always looked out for you as best he could. He deserved the truth, even if he ran. He deserved the truth.
You snapped back into life when your phone started vibrating on the cabinet beside you, making you jump. You hauled yourself off the floor and looked at the caller id. It was Jax. You took a deep breath “Hey Jax.” You said as you tried to make your voice sound as normal as possible. “Hey y/n” he replied, he always sounded so happy to hear from you. That was all about to change you thought to yourself.
“I’m just finishing up here, shall I come over when I’m done?” He asked “Yeah, I need to speak to you about something.” You replied, you should at least give him some kind of warning you thought. “ Ok darlin, see you soon” he replied and hung up.
Everything had been going so well, now it was all about to change. Deep down it wasn’t really a surprise to you, most people in your life had been temporary. Even your ex who you’d been with for years left you eventually. He’d probably had left sooner if he’d of known you were pregnant with his child.
You’d told Jax almost as soon as he’d arrived. If you’d have waited any longer you probably wouldn’t have told him at all. You explained everything, how you only just took the test and that the baby was definitely your ex’s. He already knew about your ex. And there was no doubt in your mind Jax hated him. It was actually Jax and a few of the club who’d gotten involved near the end when he started getting violent towards you. You knew Jax was a good guy and you would always be grateful to him for helping you, but you didn’t expect anything more from him.
About an hour later Jax was standing in your kitchen. His hand running through his long blonde hair, his other hand resting on the work top, probably to hold himself up. He hadn’t said much at all as you explained everything. Now he was just standing there. “Jax” you said gently “I know this is a lot to take in, I just thought you should know. You don’t have to stay, you can go now.” You said quietly.
Suddenly Jax looked up, straight at you. “Do you want me to go?” He asked, stepping away from the work top, towards you. “I don’t want to you to go.” You explained slowly. “But I’m not stupid, and I certainly don’t expect you to stay.” You explained again.
Now Jax was standing right in front of you, his eyes searching yours. He gently held your shoulders as he pulled you to him and placed a kiss on your forehead. “I’m not going anywhere. I know it’s not ideal but we’ll figure all this out together.” He whispered into your hair, as another tear rolled down your cheek. You held onto his leather, inhaling the scent. All you could do was nod your head in reply. Jax wrapped his arms around you tighter “Like it or not darlin, you're stuck with me.” He said as he cradled you in his arms.
