Saïx, during his entire fight, is surrounded by the things Xemnas shoots at you in 2 and that are used to bar entry in Days. There’s been mention of him being in berserk the entire fight, but I think that, in addition to that, he’s under even more possession than he usually is. Extra possessed.

i am SO tired of seeing the freezing cold take of “xion and roxas won’t warm up to isa quickly,” when they heard his entire story and he was the one that conducted the plan to get them both back.

he’s the reason even gave up his heart and if it weren’t for vexen telling demyx it was saïx, demyx probably wouldn’t have been interested at all. roxas knows this in the boss fight against saïx, or did you all forget “you’re not as good at winning over hearts as you thought?” while the camera angles the keyblade aimed at xemnas to point at saïx?

not to mention the fact that roxas and xion are loving and forgiving kids. saïx did nothing that most of the organization didn’t also do to them that wasn’t explained. isa may be a proud person who won’t be admitting to jealousy again to lea, but he’s not a cruel man and probably apologized to the kids off camera.

it is absolutely amazing to me how so many of you need to actually watch things happen and have them literally spelled out for you to believe them. this isn’t even “i’ll see it when i believe it,” this is “i have vehemently hated a character for years despite evidence that he was acting on emotions he wasn’t aware of in a situation that was terrible and he feels so bad for it that he brought the kids he was cruel to back to help save the world.”

tl;dr I’m sorry you can’t handle isa being happy with the children he helped save and his best friend who he loves. the man sacrificed his whole life to help people the apprentices were hurting, he’s a good person who never truly supported the organization and xion and roxas would see that.
