i don't really like it when wxs separation is demonized, if that's the right word. "they have to stay together!" "fuck asahi!" have any of you learned nothing?!?!?! it's not supposed to be seen as this terrible, merciless Thing. it's a constant in our lives. you HAVE to make peace with it. moving on, going your own path, carrying your loved ones with you as memories and thoughts, these are all things EVERYBODY has to accept whether you like it or not.

wxs's story is not an allegory for DEATH. nothing is DYING. their bonds cannot be killed, this has been emphasized time and time again. if anything, they're one of the biggest allegories for revival and birth in the entire game.

there's a tangent i can go off on here, regarding rui's own greed and selfishness and why he was so conflicted during curtain call + several of the events before and after that. but that's for another time..

my point is. change and separation should not be seen as Terrible Things, even if it is sad to think about and experience it.
