There is pure fear from her the moment he sets his gaze upon her. Eyes wide and wild like she's in flight or fight. She's running from something and that makes Jay take a step closer to her, itching to reach for her gun just in case.
Whatever happened scared her enough for her take off in such little clothing and no shoes in the middle of biting freezing winter weather of Chicago. Instantly, he's shrugging his jacket off to wrap it around her so that he can at least take some of that chill away.
"Yeah. It's me." Jay speaks softly, noting just how shaken up she is. He has no idea what has her shaken up but whatever it is, it had to be pretty big, because he's come to learn that making this woman afraid is not an easy task.
Just what the hell happened?
"Hey. Look at me. I need you to focus, take some deep breaths, and calm down." An arm wraps around her to guide her in a corner away from prying eyes so that if someone is out there looking for her, it's harder to find them.
"I need you to tell me what happened. What - who - are you running from?" Jay hears footsteps pounding against the pavement and pulls his gun from his thigh holster just in case he has to fight to protect her. It could be a person who's lost their damn mind jogging in the dead of winter, or a pursuer, Jay isn't sure which yet.
