“I told you I’m fine. Stop asking..”

"Oh? Are you sure about that?"

Júan was actually at the dinner for a job. Not a con, not a stakeout, but an actual business consultation for a start-up. They were idealistic, dull of hope, and life.
It was depressing that he had to tell the coule their business plan would not work. Getting a drink thrown in his face for his trouble and being stormed out upon was not what he had expected of his evening but, well, that is what happened, sometimes.
Standing from his chair dripping champagne and a rueful smile on his face, Júan did not see the man behind him until he virtually ran into him, a solid wall of muscle, sinew, and bone.
"Perdon, señor," Júan mumbles, holding up a hand and stepping back. "I did not see you. Excuse me, though. I need to go wipe this off before it stains."

“Do I really need it though? Your the only one that says anything even remotely like that out of all the people I know. Plus I’ve known you how long to know when it’s your or not.”
Oraia walked into the bar with a small smile. Though she hated working for the angels, she loved getting to travel and have fun. Granted, this particular location wasn’t anywhere close to the city or the beach (her usual hangouts). Still—it was better than sitting in Heaven with only her half-brother Anubis as a friendly face.
She spotted her target at the counter, downing a beer. Even from the side, she could not only tell that he was handsome, but that he matched the photo she’d been given perfectly. Not one for subtlety, she sauntered over and took the barstool next to him, turning slightly toward him.
“Can I buy you another round?” she asked.

“I am a student of yours when you were the Winter Soldier. Do you remember me?”

~*~ The blonde had her hair pulled back in tight braids. She looked rough. A black eye was prominent even through the face paint she had on to hide who she was. Those tight braids were messy, as though she'd been fighting someone or something. The most distinct feature was how dark green her eyes were. She wiped blood from the corner of her mouth and shifted, her foot pressing into the back of the person she'd fought. This person had been brought to her attention and as her twisted sense of justice had it she attacked them in the night. It wasn't the first time she'd done so and so far it wasn't the last. The person deserved it, putting children in danger, she had vowed to protect kids and that she would do.
There had been whispers of a vigilante on the streets, attacking people who seemed to put children in danger with their work. It varied between some company executives to gas station attendants that preyed on the young and defenseless. Kaisa was sick of seeing these people get away with their crimes. She took up a mantle, a vigilante who called themselves Freyja after the Norse goddess. Always with tightly braided blonde hair, no strays, and wearing black yoga pants, black leather pauldrons, bracers, and greaves. Her shirt was a long sleeve dark green that matched her eyes and she always had black face paint in a pattern that resembled the theorized ones ancient Vikings had used.
Kaisa looked up, hearing a footstep that she hadn't expected nearing the abandoned warehouse she had done her work in. She glared at the entryway. Kaisa had hoped she could finish what she'd started without a disruption and yet something or someone was close.
"State your name and business," the girl called out, her voice calm and cold.
