i used to only main charizard and wolf but things have been very boring around the house so i decided to try to pick up a few other characters and here are what i have to say about them:
Literally what the fuck is this character? I knew he was "top tier" but I didn't know that he was actually the best fucking character. Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself here, but he's way too fast, USmash is godly, and shine is a godsend. His Dair offers too much shield pressure, and his Wavedashing and Dashdancing give him so many fucking options. I'm not gonna main him, but damn, if he's not gonna be my go-to option if nothing else is working.
I tried picking up Falco at the start of my PM days, and did okay, but dropped him when I went to Wolf. Over these past two days, I've been playing a lot of Falco with the computers, and it's interesting. I can't really seem to get used to his wavedash, and his shine followups are manageable but I feel like I'm going to have to put a real amount of work into Falco if I ever decide to really play him. I think what really screws with me though is his moonwalk; it's there, but I have no idea how the fuck people use it. Not a main, but may be an option if I know someone doesn't like the Falco matchup.
Lucario was such a weird character to get into. I wanted to think about maining him, mainly because he was my main in Brawl in 6th grade. Now that I'm playing PM, his style of playing is so weird to me. It's so fast paced, but you have to truly think when you play him. His reaction time is ungodly; the amount of options that you have are endless considering the magic combos, but it's all really DI dependent. I'm maining Lucario now, because I play Charizard and there are some Links I can't beat with Wolf. He's a very fun character, though. I'll be putting a lot of work into Lucario to get him to the level where he's just as much of an option as Wolf or Charizard is for me.
Ness was my Brawl main from 7th-9th grade, so I thought PM would be easy. I was so wrong. Everytime I play Ness now, I think my fingers are flying at 1000 APM. The amount of Dashdancing and Magnet Cancels I have to put into my gameplay are way too much. It's like I'm playing Fox but I'm nowhere near as fast as I want to be. Ness is really fun, though. The Double Jump Cancel is really interesting to me. I think I might try playing Ness in the future, once I'm done learning Lucario.
Roy is... Roy's my boy. That's all I have to say about it.
